“BMI” is certainly a universal health-related buzzword. Short for Body Mass Index, BMI is a comparison of weight to height that is commonly used to determine an individual’s weight status and associated risk of disease.
The formula for calculating BMI is “dividing weight in pounds (lb) by height in inches (in) squared and multiplying by a conversation factor of 703”.
If you are an astro-physicist or rocket scientist, you’ll probably understand that!
However, if you are a mere mortal who is curious as to what your BMI is, use Calculator Soup’s BMI calculator, available here.
