Changing takes 𝑎 𝑙𝑜𝑡 of hard work.
You need willingness.
You need to be in enough discomfort and pain over your current situation to know it’s time for something different, even if that means taking risks. You also need to be willing to accept change and everything that follows from it because a change in your behavior will affect those in your personal networks.
You need to learn.
Not just intellectual learning, but emotional learning. You need information.
You need to be educated about new ways of doing things that you haven’t tried before and shown how to put that education to good use in your life.
You need support.
You need people (a coach, a fitness trainer, a therapist, an addiction sponsor, etc.) to help you down the road to something new and to whom you can be accountable along the way. You also need to know that the people closest to you, those in your social circles who 𝘴𝘩𝘰𝘶𝘭𝘥 be your cheerleaders, might resist your effort to change because 𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘺 have gotten used to your behaving in certain ways and may not be ready for you to be different.
When you change, things change . . . and the people around you might have to change, too.
