“I feel ugly because I have nothing to wear.”
I hear this a lot from people I meet in the office. And because they feel unattractive, often they appear that way too.
“I don’t want to buy new clothes until I lose weight.”
Instead, they either squeeze into clothes that are too tight, or wear the same bland, dowdy, stretchy, boxey and blousey clothes all the time.

If you have minimal options in your closet right now, go shopping!
You don’t have to spend a lot of money. There are great finds in all sizes at thrift shops or at lower-priced stores such as WalMart, Target, Marshall’s, T.J. Maxx, Nordstrom Rack, or in large-size sections of department stores.
Buy things you can belt or take in as you lose weight.
Have a salesperson help you pick items that flatter your physique; that accentuate the positives and downplay the negatives.
Go to a cosmetic counter: Get a make-over to shake things up.
Consider a tweak in cut or color at the hair salon.
And don’t be ashamed to tell these folks you’re in the process of losing weight and you want to feel attractive at every stage. They’ll be thrilled to help you.
Not everyone can be a physically beautiful runway model, but 𝑒𝑣𝑒𝑟𝑦𝑜𝑛𝑒 can be attractive — at any size.
