Food is Fuel, Not Therapy

When people consistently use food to cope with feelings rather than to satisfy hunger, that is what experts call “emotional eating.”

It’s an unhealthy behavior because it doesn’t address the source of one’s moods. And, regardless of how satisfying eating an entire bag of potato chips or box of doughnuts may be in the short term, over time it often leads to perpetual dieting, chronic weight gain and, almost always, medical issues, and eating disorders.

My offices successfully complement the efforts of local-area mental health professionals as they work to help their patients unravel and identify the possible psychological triggers for the need to eat. So, we do see first-hand, on a regular basis, how you 𝘤𝘢𝘯 banish bad habits to get on the road to healthier binge-free eating and reach a healthy weight.

So, begin.
