People often will confuse a 𝐝𝐞𝐬𝐢𝐫𝐞 with a 𝐠𝐨𝐚𝐥 and, because of this, can become disappointed and discouraged with the result.
A goal and a desire are not the same.
Desires are the things we hope for.
A goal is something quantifiable or achievable.
A desire is something we may really want to do or accomplish but for which we might not have complete control.
A goal is something that we are willing to work for to achieve, something over which we have complete control and that we are responsible for that increases the likelihood of a desire becoming a reality.
Desires help guide us to our happiness.
Goals are rigid benchmarks to be accomplished along the way.
An unfulfilled desire always causes misery while an unfulfilled goal always inspires and stretches us to give our best.
