After 25 years in the weight loss business, I have the wisdom of age and hands-on experience working with folks of all walks of life, and I can tell you DEFINITIVELY that a human being can talk themselves into any bullshit they want . . . from infinity to beyond!

Let me rattle off a few of the common lies that people tell themselves when it comes to their weight (which, of course, I hear all the time):

“I’m destined to be overweight.”

“I’ve tried everything; nothing works.”

“Nothing new is going to work for me.”

“I’m not motivated enough.”

“Obesity is in my genes.”

“I’m obese but I’m healthy.”

“I”m OK being obese.”

“I’m not fat; I’m thick.”

“I’m not really that overweight; I’m big boned.”

“My meds made me fat.”

“I didn’t lose weight because I’m building muscle.”

. . . and that’s the short list, folks.

And it’s all bullshit.

All day long.
