Greek Yogurt Cuts the Fat

Even if you’re not a fan of Greek yogurt’s distinctive flavor (it has a pronounced “tang”) for snacking or breakfast purposes, you can still tap its health benefits: It contains twice the protein of regular yogurt and less lactose as well, making it suitable for some people who suﬀer from lactose intolerance.
It is thicker and creamier than regular yogurt, and when used in cooking Greek yogurt lightens, moistens, and supports fresh ﬂavors. You can incorporate it into a variety of recipes by using it to replace less healthful options like sour cream and mayo.
Here are a few ways to use it:
✅ As the base for a salad dressing.
✅ As a substitute for sour cream.
✅ As a stand-in for mayonnaise.
✅ Mix with olive oil and herbs for a sauce for grilled meat, fish.
✅ Stir into a soup instead of cream.
✅ Combine with diced cucumbers, garlic, olive oil for veggies dip.
✅ Sweeten with maple syrup; pour over grilled fruit for dessert.
✅ Blend with honey, squeeze of lemon juice, dash of cinnamon for a quick sauce for berries.
