Many people confuse being frugal with being cheap. They are not the same.
Frugality is about assessing the bigger picture and having the patience to cash in on simple savings strategies.
Cheapness uses price as a bottom line; frugality uses value as a bottom line.
Cheap people are driven by saving money regardless of the cost; frugal people are driven by maximizing total value, including the value of their time.
Being cheap is about spending less; being frugal is prioritizing spending to have more of the things you really care about.
You can’t teach cheap: You either are or you are not.
Frugality, on the other hand, should be taught to our kids the moment we start giving them allowance or they start making a few bucks babysitting or working as summer camp counselors.

If you are overweight or obese, ESPECIALLY if you are physically or mentally unwell because of it, don’t be cheap with your health!
The benefits of changing your behavior will far outweigh the costs.
The longevity and quality of your life depends on it.
